Sunday Series: How Can Courage Improve Your Life?

Now that I’ve finished my series on Todd Henry’s everyday acts of bravery, I’m starting an even more ambitious series: each Sunday, I’ll post an article focused on how courage can improve a specific area of your life.

By my count, there are 14 Sundays left in 2014. So for the rest of the year, we’ll be looking at 14 ways courage can improve your life. Here’s the list so far (I may change the order, or even a topic or two, if I come up with better ideas):

September 28 –How can courage make you wealthy?
October 5 – How can courage make you happy?
October 12 – How can courage make you healthy?
October 19 – How can courage make you a better spouse?
October 26 – How can courage make you a better parent?
November 2 – How can courage make you a better son or daughter?
November 9 – How can courage make you more successful?
November 16 – How do we teach courage to our kids?
November 23 – How can courage make you more generous?
November 30 – How can courage improve your art?
December 7 – How can courage make you better at your job?
December 14 – How can courage make you a better friend?
December 21 – How can courage make you smarter?
December 28 – How can courage make you a leader?

After year’s end, I’ll spend a few Sundays showcasing my picks for the Heroes of 2014 (broken up by a special Superbowl post, of course). That should carry us through February, near enough; with a little luck, by then I’ll have a new Sunday series planned.

I’d love to know what you think about the topics above. Is there a topic you’d really like to see in this series? Let me know in the comments!

I've been a soldier, a dreamer, a working stiff, a leader. A husband, father, example (good and otherwise), and now a survivor. I write about courage, because courage is what enables us to accomplish the impossible. If you draw breath, I love you. If you love in whatever way seems best to you and want others to love in whatever way seems best to them, I am your ally. If you believe someone is less than you because they do not love the way you do, I oppose you. If you see someone as a threat to be abused or destroyed merely because they do not look like you, or love like you, or worship like you, I am your enemy. I am a joyful and courageous man. And I stand with you who love.
